Phoenix First Picture, What is Standing in The Horizon?

Red planet never fails to inspire humans looking for life out side this planet. Phoenix , the space craft successfully landed on Mars to explore Martian polar regions. This time they have chosen the right place. The boundary of polar ice cap ,that means melting ice which could lead us to find first evidence of life.Nasas Odyssey space craft discovered that there is plenty of water just beneath the surface of polar regions. I have high hopes this time ,Spirit & Opportunity kind of disappointed me.Few weeks before, Even the Vatican announced that god may have created life else where in the universe. Good decision , they seems have learned the lesson from claiming the world is actually FLAT.

Phoenix carries science instruments to assess whether ice just below the surface ever thaws and whether some chemical ingredients of life are preserved in the icy soil. These are key questions in evaluating whether the environment has ever been favorable for microbial life. Phoenix will also study other aspects of the soil and atmosphere with instrument capabilities never before used on Mars. Canada supplied the lander's weather station.
Says nasa team. The first picture looks clear. By the way what is that white thing standing on the horizon? It could be part of the space craft, probably the parachute . Or else it could be one of those Martian coming to greet us. :-) I'm waiting.

Fish that fly like a bird

Earth is amazingly diverse. This is one good example of it. A Japanese camera man managed to capture a flying fish that actually stayed airborne for more than 45 seconds. Good example for people who doubt evolution, In million years this fish could become a bird. How can they fly? I did some research in to this matter. They are thought to have developed this skill to evade predators .

The process of taking flight, or gliding, begins by gaining great velocity underwater, about 37 miles (60 kilometers) per hour. Angling upward, the four-winged flying fish breaks the surface and begins to taxi by rapidly beating its tail while it is still beneath the surface. It then takes to the air, sometimes reaching heights over 4 feet (1.2 meters) and gliding long distances, up to 655 feet (200 meters). Once it nears the surface again, it can flap its tail and taxi without fully returning to the water. Capable of continuing its flight in such a manner, flying fish have been recorded stretching out their flights with consecutive glides spanning distances up to 1,312 feet (400 meters).

Frogs detects chinas earth quake

On 5th Chinese people in chishuwan province detected 1000's of frogs crossing the roads without any fear (see the pictures), the wondered why. On Monday, 12th of May, central China region recorded a catastrophic 7.8-magnitude quake. More than 10000 people dead. Chinas earth quake detection centers couldn't even issue a warning. This was observed in the case of tsunami also, some animals recorded showing strange behaviors hours before the catastrophe. Someone should do a research on frogs to find out how they detected the earth quake, could be really helpful in the future. Can animals detect natural disasters? no need to answer that question, lets find out how?

Password

I heard this story from a friend of mine, said that it happened in a university in Sri Lanaka (Don't know if its exactly true). But the story is really funny . There were this two guys and they were room mates. One was studying computer science and the other guy was studying some other course( no need to specify the exact subject). The second guy was not so computer literate but he used to watch movies with the first guy. One day the guy who owns the computer went some where and the second guy came to see a movie with a group of friends. They switched on the computer and found out that they need a password to log in. They were disappointed. Then the second guy thought for a moment , scratched his head and victoriously claimed that he remember the password. Bit relieved they asked him to type it. "Simple, just type four dots " he exclaimed.

Fighting For Pleasure

It's been months since I left my Master, the guy who taught me martial arts. Learning martial arts was a new chapter in my life. It injected confidence, tolerance & respect in to my mind. It taught me how to over come difficulties and fears. Once I joined the club, they all started treating me as one of their own. It was a strange bond, a bond based on respecting each other. We fought with each other, sometimes hard ,but I rarely saw any anger. Fighting without getting angry with each other,It was so strange. There was this guy called Steven, he was a student of mine but at the martial arts training he didn’t give a shit about me being his teacher. His punches and kick were so hard and spot on. I fractured my ribs once, but I never blamed anybody for that. It was my fault; I should learn to protect my ribs. So I learnt to change myself before changing the world. There was another interesting character in my club. He was the deaf guy. It was amazing how fast he learn by watching movements and observing masters gestures. Once his father told me that he was turned down by many schools and clubs because he was deaf. Then there was this cute little girl Ann who fought with more than 15 guys to get her black belt. If you see her on the street you’ll never think she’s that strong. Fighting is 90% mind. It’s about controlling your fears and pain. She was the best example for that.
It’s not the size of the dog in fight, it’s the size of the fight in dog-Mark

I really believe that. Oh, man I really miss that training.
