Sri Lankan Giant squirrel (Ratufa )
This beautiful Sri Lankan Giant Squirrel often comes near to my home to eat these fruits. She was totally unafraid of my presence, which means it was rarely disturbed by humans. Anyway,how can anyone hurt a beautiful animal like this?

Your Sri Lankan squirrels are elegant, beautiful and formidable. I am impressed with her grace. Our squirrels in the U.S. are smaller, though likely just as agile and feisty. You are lucky to have this female as a loyal visitor and my hope is that no harm comes to her and she continues to delight you with her daily visits.

We used to have one of these giant squirrels coming to our home in Kandy as well. It was really friendly and wasn't afraid to take food we offer straight from our hand.
