In Search Of A Hidden Beach

Last Sunday I decided to visit another beach in Seychelles called Anse Majore. It was a lovely morning, I packed water and food in to my bag . This beach is not easy to reach, its about 2 hours walk through the rocky jungle and the village. We started our walk through the village and came to the starting point of path through the jungles. We saw a huge rock spanning out to sea like a black velvet carpet. I decided to take some pictures, the rock was about 100 feets above the sea level. The sea was amazingly blue and clear, scenery was breath taking, then I saw some splashes, brownish objects disappeared in to the sea below me. It was a group of dolphins , there were three of them, this was the first time I saw dolphins in Seychelles, they were hunting for fish. We could observe huge groups of fishes running here and there like moving ink spots to escape from them.

Then we set our journey towards the beach through the jungle, path was clear but dangerous. Some places were directly above the sea, one slip could make you tumble down 200 feet's on the rock surface in to the sea. There was a group of frigate birds soaring in the sky waiting to steal fishes from other birds, thats how they live, they are the worlds second largest birds if you measure the wing span, they reminded me of our politicians. The sun was already up and burning, we were tired, luckyly we saw a small stream crossing our path, water was cool and tasty. Finally we reached our destination the view was breathtaking and It was a great place to swim.

About This Cooking Thing

My wife made a beautiful cake for a friend of mines birth day, well I'm not saying its the best in the world but this one needs some recognition. So I decided to post the picture in my blog :-) . She has this thing called patience to do this kind of stuff ( which I don't have). My wife is a very good cook, a natural cook. When you talk about cooking, its all patience and paying attention. Even if you have the best cook book at your hand, you won't be able to cook something tasty unless you love cooking. To me cooking is an art, like music, a gifted skill. Last time I thought of inspiring my wife by making some Dhal curry and end up adding some buriyani powder instead of curry powder. Even though I was unable to eat,My wife tried pretend that it was so tasty( Silly girl, she ate a lot to prove that) . Later she insisted that I should stick to cleaning the dishes . One reason that I don't like cooking is , after cooking it I loose the interest to eat it (even if I get it right).

Tomy Heli-Q Worlds Smallest Helicopter

This next-gen worlds smallest remote controlled helicopter will be available for sale next month for 30$. This beauty can stay up in air for 5 minutes after 20 minutes of charge. I like its bubble like look in the front, feels like buying one. If some one can improve the battery life, this could be used as a surveillance air craft, one day they will. Think about a swarm of these insect like crafts with artificial intelligence gathering data in the battle field.

Happiness is a State of mind

There was a time that I was disturbed, helpless and depressed. I never liked to be with my girl friend or parents, in fact it made me angry and more depressed. I was turning myself away from the world to my own imaginative world. My mind was full of negative thoughts, and I got pissed off with my life. The things were getting worse everyday, mind was heavy , even started to get headaches from too much thinking. One day I thought about this situation, It should not continue, I must put a stopper to this before my mind drift far away from reality.

I decided to practice some meditation (Mindfulness Of Breath),It was very simple, concentrate my mind on the natural movement of air through my respiratory system (nostrils, nose, lungs). Sounds easy, but very difficult to practice.Once you start doing this you'll realize how loose and uncontrolled your mind is .You might even ask yourself 'is it really mine?' But after sometime I realized that concentrating my mind is only the beginning of Mindfulness Meditation. I tried to be aware of the thoughts rise and die in my mind, watching them from another reference point, not attaching to any of those thoughts. This is not easy, you have to watch your mind using your own mind. I gradually increased the amount of time I spent in doing meditation, 15 min, 30 min, to 1 hour a day. I started to experience a different awareness about my mind, it has never happened to me before.

When I was watching my thoughts, I started to realize that the source of sad and bad feelings in my mind is not any other thing, but my own mind. If you get angry about someone, your mind will be restless and confused for many days, its our own mind make us suffer, isn't it? Is this the reality? or is it created by our my mind?( watch Matrix) . Once a Zen Buddhist monk dreamed that he was a Butterfly, he woke up and thought "Am I a monk who dreamed of being a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming of being a monk?".

After sometime I realized that thought are just states of mind, good or bad, my mind began to relax. I was becoming happier & less worried, head was no longer heavy as before. I started to think in a different way. I rarely got angry, even if I got angry I could suppress it quickly. I was not carrying worries about past or future, simply because its pointless, past is beyond repair future is yet to come ,what I can change is this moment. I started liking people, some of the troublesome students of mine became my friends, never needed extra effort to control my classes. You don't even need to be a Buddhist to do meditation. Its the only way of awakening your mind , to see things as it is. When did you last stop by to smell a flower, to see the sunshine, to hear birds singing, to enjoy nature and its tranquility? not sure? you definitely need meditation.

Scientist Claims Black People 'Less Intelligent'

Nobel Prize winning scientist James Watson who discovered the structure of DNA made the controversial remarks in an interview in The Sunday Times. This was not based on genetics or scientific research, so he faced lots of criticisms for his remark.Being intelligent doesn't remove your fundamental beliefs after all.

He said he was “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa” because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours - whereas all the testing says not really.". He said he hoped that everyone was equal, but countered that “people who have to deal with black employees find this not true”.
He expects that scientists would be able to find the genes responsible for differences of intelligence in human beings within a decade. Anyhow, its very bad for a scientist to talk like this without solid evidence.Later he publicly apologized for his remark, but it doesn't reduce the damage he has done.If they discover genes of intelligence it could create lots of discrimination in the world . Can you imagine a time where people could be refused to be admitted to a university or a job because of their genes. Think of a race living in this world, knowing that they are inferior because they don't have intelligent genes, your kid being bullied by a high IQ group in the school. My question is ,Can you say a white dog is more intelligent than a black dog?

Lets Office Online

Web based office suits are becoming famous these days, I think this will be the future of computing, using web based applications. There are many advantages, like easy to access, no installation required and ease of use .These are the best web based office applications if you want to get rid of Microsoft office. Most of these applications are free and the interface is quite similar to MS Office.

Zoho-Good application if you want something which exactly resembles Microsoft word, most of the icons and the interface looks just like office.

Think Free- Free but not very user friendly, i hated the pop-up windows. Some actions are not straight forward ,like when you want to open a new document it keeps asking about interface options, bit annoying. You have to install Java Runtime Environment for this application to work.

Google Docs-this is free to use, the best way to share documents, diffrent users can edit the same document at the same time.

BuzzWord- If you want to use the coolest word application in the internet, this is the one. Everything is built using flash but very easy to use, most of the icons are quite self explanatory. Docable interface gives a simple looks which makes it less complicated.

30 Day Suicide Plan, Pay By Credit Card

What’s wrong with this world man, now people pay to get killed, yes, you heard it right! There are websites that help you to commit suicides. I browsed through some of them, just to look how they function. I couldn’t believe that shit, some of them even give specific instruction on how to commit suicide, like making poisons , how to prepare and they even elaborate on how easy to die( as if they know it). One website was offering 30 day plan to committing suicide; you can pay by credit card to download the instruction manual. Japanese people are famous for this type of suicides. Recently they arrested a man for helping a young woman to commit suicide. He was running a suicide website, according to him she paid 1700$ for helping her to get killed.

According to the Yomiuri, Japan's largest daily, the woman wrote him in early April saying: "I want to die, how can I die?"

Saito wrote back: "I will give you lots of sleeping pills. I will help."

Then he came, gave her the pill, suffocated her, chilling isn't it........

Some time ago I read in news about death of a group of people who met in an internet suicide website. According to my knowledge they have a common behavior, they don’t want to die alone, they want some one to go with them, at least someone to be near when they die. Can some one explain this behavior? It’s very sad to see people leave this world without any reason. Just think, more than half of the worlds population live earning only less than dollar a day, but some pay 1700$ just to get killed, world is so unfair!.

Let Them Fly For Thousands Of Years

I took this pictures in an island called Bird Island in Seychelles. Birds were so friendly that they were flying just over my head. Let these innocent creatures live, they are our responsibility, do something to protect nature, however small. This is my post to support blog action day.

Next LTTE Attack that anyone can predict

This article is based on various incidents I read in the news, please click on the links in the article if you want to read them .LTTE is the most ruthless & innovative terrorists group in the world, I see them equal to Al-Qaeda. For 25 years or so they have always changed their tactics of attacking military targets or assassinating people.Former Indian prime minister Rajive Gandi was assassinated using a woman suicide bomber who was pretending to be offering a garland of flowers. Sri Lankan president Ranasinghe Premadasa was assassinated using explosive laden bicycle.Sri Lankan president Chandrika Kumarathunga luckily escaped another woman suicide bomb attack ,but she lost one of her eyes. Sri lankan foreign minister was assassinated by a sniper while swimming in his pool, rumor says that LTTE leader got this idea after watching the movie called "Jackal" (great movie though). Bombing Sri Lankas main air force base in the night using World War II air crafts is another example, LTTE deserves some credit on this, they did it twice, shame on our stupid politicians without any foresight (This was predicted 3 years ago, they did nothing). If they ever get their separate state that would be their "Pearl Harbor" story. I don't want to continue the number of high profile people killed by LTTE through the years, if you want to find out[click here].

Recently I read in the news that Sri Lankan army attacked & captured some LTTE vessels carrying military hardware, and they found few remote controlled air crafts. According to the details they were not capable of staying in the air for long time or carrying huge weights, then what could they be used to do? military predicts they could be fitted with small explosive devices and could be used to attack navy vessels. But I see a different side, could they be used to assassinate high profile people? This type of remote controlled aircrafts could be accurately flown to a visible target, like a political rally or a convoy of vehicles, specially from top of a building. According to the reports the planes which were captured were not expensive or advance spy planes, so they are expendable, they are quite and undetectable, the threat is real .

I was alarmed to find out that a Norwegian was captured with a half built small submarine which meant to be built for LTTE.In another incident Norwegian ex-special force personals were reported to be training LTTE in underwater demolitions ( Norwegians are our peace brokers, how convenient !!). When you look at the current situation, the only option for LTTE to stop ongoing military operations is to attack financial targets in Colombo. If they have developed a small submarine by now, they would definitely go for Colombo harbor, I'm hundred percent sure about that. I don't know what are the security measures taken by the government against this, but if they attack even a one single cargo ship we will be devastated (So do something, please).

If we want to defeat LTTE we have to think few steps ahead of them, what will be their next move? what could we do to prevent it? unfortunately, the guys we vote to do the job are bit short of mind for that.

Tsar Bomb, Lets Create Earth Quakes

You’ll be amazed when you see this video [click here]; it shows the brutality and the destruction that could cause by a nuclear explosion. This three stage weapon nick named Tsar Bomb was actually a 100 megaton bomb design, and was the biggest nuke to be ever built; the size of the test bomb had to be reduced by half to prevent a nuclear fall-out. The bomb was dropped using a parachute to give time for the plane to reach at least 45km away from ground zero. The fireball reached the height of the release plane which was three times the height of world’s tallest mountain, Himalayas. It generated earth quake of magnitude 5.25 despite the fact that it exploded in mid air. The 50 Mt test was capable in principle of inflicting third degree burns at a distance of up to 100 km.

After finding these facts about the bomb one thing came into my mind, if a bomb was exploded in a geological fault line, could it trigger earth quake? I think it could be done. An earth quake is generated by release of mounting pressure between two plates called a fault plane. I recently read a awesome fiction about a group of people who creates an earth quake using a seismic vibrater (nothing to do with ladies having fun :-)), the facts are strikingly realistic. Most nuclear tests are done underground; one of those shocks could trigger a chain reaction which could ultimately end up as a huge earth quake. This phenomenon is called butterfly effect. Anyway, after reading about Tsar Bomb, I became a one of those people who supports a world without nuclear bombs; it’s too evil to be handled by humans.

World Mapper, A Different World Map

If you want to look at the world map in a completely diffrent perspective, this is your opportunity.A team in University of Sheffield has developed a computer algorithm that could distorts the world map according to statistical data of diffrent countries. These maps gives a clear picture of the current situation in the world.Worldmapper is a collection of world maps, where territories are re-sized on each map according to the subject of interest.

Total population, India & China Exploding!

Human Poverty, India? my God......

GDP Wealth, America,Japan too Fat, pump some to Africa please!

America is the biggest polluter, but why do I see pollution in china when ever I watch CNN?

Violent Deaths, Sri Lanka getting bigger?

If you want to see some more informative maps go to world mapper website. There are hundreds of maps available.

Understanding My Wife

I was married for like two years , and more I spent my married life the more I understand how mysterious women are. Why can't they be simple like us ?I mean she can always tell if I'm lying just by looking at my face. These are the few facts I have understood (learned) about my wife, generally it applies to any average women (I think). This could be useful if you are thinking of getting married one day, its wise to learn from mistakes but smarter to learn from others mistakes.

1. Best way to remember her birth day is to forget it once (I did it twice now i remember birth time also)

2. If she tells you the same joke,story,gossip..etc for the 20 th time, never try to complete the story or to tell her that you already knew that. (Show the same interest that you have shown the first time, its hard,i know, but its worth doing)

3. The day that you first met,day that you asked her,the day you first kissed her, color of the dress she was wearing ,first that ,first this, all these days are equally important. Never take it as a joke if she mentioned any day. Try to remember some of these days, you'll be greatly rewarded. (I'm still working on it)

4. You come home, she doesn't seems to notice, she keeps very busy over some thing. BEWARE , TSUNAMI ALERT.

5. Her matters are more important than 9/11,war in Iraq or your office matters make sure to divert attention immediately if you are watching news or doing office work. Better to loose 5 minutes than the whole day fighting. :-)

6. Computer is her worst enemy! (spend less time if you can, I'm still working on it)

7. If you don't have kids make sure show your affection to other kids, like you friends or neighbors , never ignore them if she's around (Still working on it).

8. Never ever praise the beauty of another woman, even if she start it first. (shaking your head is o.k)

9. Never try to defend some woman that she doesn't like, result may fire back unexpectedly after 2-3 weeks.

10. Don't take pictures too close to your female students or female co-workers, this could be used as an allegation against you at some point in the future.

11. They like if you say funny things (Not when she's very upset)

12. Don't bring past incidents as examples, they remember way back in to the past. Even things that you did but no longer remember (They have solid proof)

13. Don't even think of winning a debate.

mmmm..........thats about it...... not bad for 2 and half years , I guess,

Just Before The Crash

This photograph is taken microseconds before a plane crashed on the ground, photographer must have been really lucky. At first i thought this was a fake photograph but after some research found out this was actually a true incident. You can even see the pilots grabbing each other in confusion. This was a result of sudden breaking during the landing, pilots were only injured I suppose. Do you have any Idea what they were trying to do, are they are grabbing each other or trying to gain control.

Prison Break

A guy is about to be sent to electric chair for a crime that he didn't commit. His brother, a structural engineer (Wentworth Miller) planes to get him out.But he figures out that to get him out he has to go in first. So he stage a bank robbery and goes in to the same prison, covered with a tattoo of blue prints of the prison . No one has ever broken out that high security prison. Then he builds up a team , but the team contains many dark characters with their own agendas. Every bit of information of his escape is preplanned & calculated, but everything doesn't go according to the plan ,he encounters so many diffrent contingencies.Story has many twists and turns. I've got the whole series from a friend of mine. Its so difficult to stop watching when you get started. I've managed to watch 12 episodes so far and each one of them kept me on the edge of the seat. Prison Break is awesome , its time to watch the 13th episode, bye.

La Digue

One extraordinary fact about Seychelles is that , some times you can have a whole beach like this just for yourself. As you can see in the picture , there was nobody around except me, perfect place for photographers. If you have "Sex on the beach" in mind, this is the right place for you.
